FAQ's

Porch pick up will be once a week on a Friday between 8.30am-6pm. Puzzles and games will be placed in a bag with your name labelling your puzzle(s) or game(s). You will find the bags in a Rubbermaid bin on the porch.

If you are returning puzzles or games, please put them in a bag and place them into the rubbermaid container labelled “Returns”.

In order to receive your puzzles for Friday porch pick up, orders must be in before Monday at 6pm. You can request new puzzles a week before pick up.

Please check your email for instructions on how to find my home. If you do not receive an email to your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. Save the puzzle project lambeth to your favourites so that your emails come to your inbox directly. If you do not receive an email contact me directly for directions.

At one time you should only have 2 puzzles in your possession at one time.  These puzzles must be exchanged before receiving new puzzles. If you have 2 puzzles and would like to request a new one, you must return the one that you have. If you would like to request two new ones, you need to return the two that you have.

You may only have one game in total in your possession at one time. This game must be exchanged before receiving a new one.

For children, you can request two puzzles and two games at one time along with your own “adult” order or separately. If you would like to exchange these items, you must return the ones your have.

You must return puzzles and games within one month. This allows all neighbours to enjoy the selection on offer.

All puzzles and games must be returned to the puzzle project when you are done with them. Do not exchange a different puzzle for the one(s) you received.

Puzzles can be donated on Friday’s during pick up hours between 8.30am and 6pm. Please place them on the porch in a plastic bag to protect them from damage from the harsh weather conditions or in the rubber maid bin if space and label it “DONATION”. Please contact me using the contact form for my address and directions.

Once you have completed your puzzle put the corner and edge pieces in a small plastic sandwich bag separate to the main body of the puzzle. Some puzzles may already have a small bag containing the corner and edge pieces. If you prefer to hunt for the edges yourself, just mix them in with the other puzzle pieces.

If the box becomes damaged, please put the puzzle pieces in a large ziplock bag with the edges in a small sandwich bag so that pieces are not lost between pick up and drop off.

Please DO NOT write on the box inside or out. Writing “all here”, “complete”, initials or a date just ruins the nice clean look of the boxes. BUT, if there is a piece missing, please DO write “one piece missing” or “two pieces missing”, etc. on a post it note and attach it to the outside of the box.

Some boxes that have been received as a donation previously have writing on them. We encourage you not to add anything else to the box.

If you forget to pick up your puzzle(s) or game(s), you will need to re-request the puzzle(s)/game(s) in your cart for the next week. The puzzle(s)/game(s) will be shown as available for other neighbours to choose in the meantime.

I am volunteering my time as a local neighbour to run the project while working and being a mum. Unfortunately, I cannot be held responsible for any potential exposure to COVID-19 or other viruses by leaving puzzles and games on my porch as part of the lending library. I will do my best to sanitize boxes with lysol wipes and use individual bags to place puzzles and games into before putting them into a tote on the porch.

Unfortunately, the puzzle pieces will not be sanitized and I cannot rely on the community to do this for me before putting them back into the box, but it would be appreciated if anyone can lightly wipe them down with a sanitizer wipe before re-boxing them.

The risk of catching COVID-19 according to the CDC website from cardboard or plastic items is extremely minimal. By taking part in this project, you will do so at your own risk.
